Position: Quality Inspector – NDT Level 2
Organization Unit: Quality Department
Accountability: Works under general supervision and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Summary: Inspects in-process and final inspection of precision spools and sleeves to customer supplied blueprint requirements, company work instructions, and manufacturing sketches. Utilizes inspection methods and measuring devices, verify dimensions of parts, and documents findings indicating results of inspection. Inspects product by Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) process and performs NDT operations per customer specifications and company work instructions. Works with responsible Level 3 to create technique sheets and perform inspections in accordance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and NADCAP AC7114.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Performs visual and dimensional in-process, first article inspections to blueprint and customer requirements.
•    Performs visual and dimensional final inspections to blueprint and customer requirements.
•    Review of traveler documentation to ensure accuracy of quantities, revisions and buy-off of previous production activity and inspection.
•    Complete First Article Inspection Report.
•    Complete In-process Characteristic Check Sheet.
•    Complete Final Inspection Report.
•    Performs daily System Performance Verification on MT equipment.
•    Facilitates NADCAP audit with Quality Manager
•    Identify non-conforming product and communicate with the Quality Manager defects found to determine disposition.
•    Buy-off parts that are conforming to Blueprint; sign and stamp off on the accompanying traveler.
•    Notify Quality Manager when measuring tools are in need of calibration.
•    Review of traveler and documentation of any special packaging and labeling requirement.
•    Expected to work OT as demanded by production schedule.
